“Happiest Workplaces Around the Globe-2024” is the most comprehensive ranking published to date on Workplace Happiness. The list includes 819 workplaces selected and categorized by sector among a total of 16,829 companies across 23 countries.
The report also features insights from 724 senior HR executives on the HR trends of 2024, the challenges they face, and the key strategies they employ. The executives participating in the survey were grouped according to their workplaces, identifying how the Happiest Workplaces differ from other workplaces.
In its third section, the report examines the stock performance of companies listed in the "Happiest Workplaces Around the Globe" from 2010 to 2024 in the stock markets of the USA, UK, Germany, France, and Canada. This analysis compares their returns to those of benchmark indices in these countries, exploring the relationship between employee happiness and financial performance.

Strategies of the Happiest Workplaces
This section covers the HR trends for 2024, the challenges they face in ensuring employee happiness, and the key strategies they use to achieve employee happiness, as reported by 724 senior HR managers in the Happy Workplaces® network (North America 31%, South America 13%, Asia 7%, Australia 3%, Europe 38%, and Africa 8%). Senior HR managers were grouped into listed and unlisted workplaces based on their locations, and their responses were compared accordingly. This determined the ways in which the Happiest Workplaces differ from other workplaces.

Boosting Stocks with a Smile
This section of the report examines the financial performance of companies listed on the Happiest Workplaces Around the Globe list. In this context, the stock returns of Happy Workplaces companies listed on the US, UK, Germany, France, and Canada stock exchanges for the period 2010-2024 were compared with the benchmark indicators of the respective stock exchanges. The results show that Happy Workplaces companies, without exception, achieved higher long-term returns across all stock exchanges. While the analysis results do not prove a clear cause-and-effect relationship, they do reveal a strong correlation between the two variables. Furthermore, the findings expand the scope of previous studies conducted on US stock exchanges and provide updated data.

Happiest Workplaces Around the Globe
This section of the report includes lists of the happiest workplaces in their respective sectors across 23 countries. Unlike other lists, the Happiest Workplaces lists are designed to take sectoral differences into account. Therefore, each company on the country lists should be considered the happiest in its sector. Of the 16,829 companies included in the World's Happiest Workplaces analysis process, 819 qualified for inclusion. Details of the methodology and ranking criteria used are explained in detail in the report. The Country-Based Lists section lists the happiest workplaces in each sector in that country. The Industry Leaders section groups these companies by sector, presenting the world's happiest workplaces in each sector together.
